Purpose and Ethos   Corfu Buddha Hall is a spectacularly beautiful, purpose built group space available for group events, workshops and retreats that relate to spiritual growth and personal development. It is located on the edge of a small, inland hill village called Magoulades, in a stunning setting, on top of a hill, set amongst olive groves and cypress trees, 4 kms from a choice of lovely beaches. The creators of this wonderful resource, Vasanti and Michel, designed and built Corfu Buddha Hall as a sacred space for the teaching and practice of Gurdieff Sacred Dance and other practices related to spiritual and personal development and healing. Vasanti is a teacher of Gurdieff Movement with a passionate commitment to supporting other teachers and seekers on the spiritual path. For this reason, Buddha Hall offers reduced rates for group leaders providing meditation retreats and workshops that are important tools for those on the journey, but may not attract large numbers. The spirit of Buddha Hall is inclusive and open. Many of the team working there and the friends of Buddha Hall have associations with the spiritual master Osho, but they also make welcome teachers from many different backgrounds. This ethos means that Corfu Buddha Hall tries to integrate as much as possible with the local community, who are always welcome to come to their open events, meditations and concerts. Corfu Buddha Hall tries to operate in a way that brings business and contributes to the local economy, rather than ignoring it, or just taking from it. Corfu Buddha Hall provides accommodation and transport by working directly in partnership with hotels and transport providers. The local restaurants are always happy to see Buddha Hall guests enjoying their services. The Buddha Hall on-site team is an international crew of workers, volunteers and helpers who share a commitment to living consciously, right livelihood and service. They work with an intention to be open, honest and supportive to each other and to provide a loving and beautiful environment for their guests. Corfu Buddha Hall is operated through Inner Travel Ltd, a UK registered company, that organizes all the events that happen there. The Hall Itself Buddha Hall is a large space, capable of seating 200 people for a concert and over 100 people for a workshop. However, such is the “holding” nature of the space, it also works well for much smaller groups. It has an ideal architectural form for dance and movement, being 200 square meters, with no obstructing pillars, a wooden floor, and pagoda style wooden roof. The walls have windows all round with stunning 360 degree views of the mountains, forest and sea.It also has wonderful acoustics that help people to find their voice and much joyful community singing and many singing sanghas happen there, planned or spontaneously! Meals take place outside on the lawns, surrounded by oleander and other flowering plants. In case of rain there is also a large covered dining area!

Her connection to Nature and her wanderlust brought her to the Greek island of Corfu in 2008. She gives expression to this connection with nature and motion when she leads walking groups, teaches yoga and explores the island with her guests. In the meantime, Corfu has become her second home. She appreciates the friendliness and serenity of the locals. And since she is open to the Greek language, real friendships are formed. Together with her team she accompanies her guests through the best (holiday) time of the year. Next to the seminars there’s enough time for other activities, such as walking, snorkelling, horse-riding, painting and much more. She wants to help you learn and practice Yoga and Qi Gong at this intensely powerful place. She is proud of the space of peace and retreat she has created. The island’s good minor road system and the central location of THE CORFU MOUNTAINBIKE SHOP in Dassia, means that almost all beautiful parts are easy to reach during a single day’s cycling trip, so that each day’s cycling can be a new experience. The forest tracks of the Pantokrator mountain range provide very challenging routes for expert cyclists, while for less strenuous and serene trips the lowland areas of Ropa Valley and central Corfu are full of opportunities and interesting themes. We offer only superior Giant MTB’s and Giant touring bikes with 27 XT Shimano, lock in-out Roc Shox suspension and hydraulic disc brakes. The Giant MTB Shop houses a Park-Tool workshop and group holidays and tours include a support vehicle and professional guides. Since 1993 we are the leading cycling company offering excellent service, safety and service! “Rides-on-the-olive-side” – MTB holidays for groups The tours cover all the island and will introduce to you the traditional villages, hidden in the green hinterland covered with century old olive groves, by using a network of country roads, paths and tracks. According to many, a holiday in Greece is not complete without a marvellous cruise, so sometimes we include a boat transfer at the beginning or the end of the cycling tour! You will meet local people and experience “the Greek way of life”, and to satisfy your curiosity you will see unexpected sites and landscapes deserving to be immortalized in an unique photograph… During the tours you will be together with like-minded sportive friends, enjoy a refreshment in a local kafeneion, and have lunch in a typical Corfiot waterfront taverna, followed by a swim in the crystal clear sea. This is the ideal cycling holiday if you want to explore Corfu with a group of fellow bikers. You can support each other during the ride and discuss the marvels you discovered over lunch or dinner. One week usually including 4 tours and 2 individual cycling days – type bicycle: Giant Hardtail – group size 12 – 20 participants

Peter Kraan and Marjan Hoogendoorn started in Corfu in 1989 with a small fleet of Aloa 27’ sailing yachts. Many sailors had their first Greek sailing experience in their flotilla, and more have come back, year after year. The combination of a fantastic sailing area, well maintained yachts and a great atmosphere makes this kind of holiday addictive. The route will take you to small bays on the North East side of Corfu, Agni and Agios Stefanos. Not too far from the marina, so you can get used to your yacht without stress. And who would want some rougher sailing can just pass the harbour and sail up North a bit more where you’ll find stronger wind. When you’ve had enough you can anchor in the bay and go for a swim. Every evening it is possible to join the group meal, but you can also choose to stay with your own crew. You decide per day what you feel like. Every morning there is a briefing where the flotilla skipper will explain the plan for the day. According to the weather forecast we choose our next harbour. In the daytime, every boat is free to leave at his own time. Sailing, anchoring, swimming, reading, relaxing or just more sailing. As long as you are in the next harbour before dark. The flotilla skipper makes sure to be in the harbour first to help everybody find a place and be safe for the night. Other places to be visited are: Sayiadha, a remote little fishing harbuor on the mainland of Greece. Best place to eat big fresh shrimps and all kinds of local fish. Mourtos/Sivota, a group of little islands between which you find sheltered anchor places where the flotilla can stay for the night so you can swim the next morning directly from your yacht. Paxos, beautiful little island with crystal blue waters around it. Dolphins playing around your boat while you sail to Lakka, one of the most picturesque bays of the Ionian. Little tourist shops, taverna’s and bars make this little village a very pleasant place to be. Along the West coast, sightseeing the steep cliffs and huge caves you sail to Anti Paxos to find the clearest waters for snorkeling. Take something with you to feed the fish and you will see various colorful little fishes in front of your mask. Ιn the evening the flotilla will meet in Mongonissi bay. A sheltered place for the night with just one restaurant. Here, Theo and his family first cook you a wonderful meal, and after that you will enjoy their enthusiastic Greek dancing show. Most of the times this activates the whole flotilla to get out of their lazy chairs and dance! After a good sleep in the quiet bay we can choose to cross to the mainland to the touristic little town Parga, of visit Gaios on Paxos. Or just find another bay at the mainland for a barbeque on the beach. The good thing about flotilla is you will be safely guided through the area. The flotilla skipper knows with which weather forecast to go where. Also you will be helped finding a safe spot for the night, every night. And last but not least, you will make a lot of new friends. The fleet still has some of the Aloa’s of the first hour. Well maintained, with newer engines and a good pair of sails. Through the years some newer and bigger yachts have joined in, so at the moment there is choice from 27’ till 44’. From budget to luxe. For couples and families. Sustainable, trustworthy, friendly. In the middle of Corfu, in a dense forest of umbrella pine trees, oaks and other trees, lies Silvaland. Its official title is Silvaland Equine and Life-Enrichment Centre and that title kind of summarises most the centre’s activities which include all kinds of horse-riding, horse-whispering, healing with horses, organic farming, yoga, meditation, theatre and much more! To get to Silvaland you have to take a private road that takes you into the dense forest for a couple of kilometers. Nature is everywhere, and you get the feeling you are entering a fairy tale. The centre is set in an estate of over 7 acres and has a 2000 sq.m. indoor arena, two outdoor arena’s, stables, a meeting room, a cafe bar, an organic kiwi farm and lots of space. A whole network of trails has been set out in the surrounding forest for walking, cycling and horse-riding. The centre itself blends in with the surrounding nature and the impressive horses set the tone. There are all kinds of horses, including ponies and, more specifically, Skyrian ponies. The Skyrian pony was an endangered species and when Sylvia Steen, owner of Silvaland, got interested in this ancient breed of horses, there were only three pairs left in the world! Now, thirty years later, the population comprises about 50 ponies on Corfu, another 20 that are back on Skyros and another 20 in Scotland. Activities in Silvaland are very diverse. There are horse-riding lessons for adults and children as young as two years old, courses on horse-whispering and healing sessions with the horses for special children. But there are also many other activities such as theater, yoga and other events. Leonidas cafe bar offers drinks, home-made cakes and sweets and delicious food, making this an ideal family excursion.
