Bioporos is situated by the beautiful lake Korission in southern Corfu. The farm comprises 70 stremmata (7 acres) on a gently sloping hill overlooking tha lake and the sea. The owners, Kostas and Agathi, together with their children grow olives and all kinds of vegetables, produce olive oil, wine and honey and keep horses, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits and bees, all 100% organic.
You can stay in one of the two-storey villas in the farm, each 130 square metres and able to accommodate up to 5 people. The villas fit perfectly in the natural surroundings and have not only all modern facilities such as airconditioning, television and DVD and a fully equipped kitchen but also special natural latex matresses and pillows, pure cotton sheets and wool blankets, a simple but tasteful decoration and even a bathroom for handicapped people!
In the restaurant you can enjoy a full organic breakfast with (among others) fresh eggs, olives and honey from the farm and freshly baked bread out of the wood oven! Agathi is also a great cook and prepares at least two organic dishes every day, with natural ingredients prepared according to traditional Corfiot recipes going back generations!
How can you spend your holiday in Bioporos? Well, you can relax on your villa balcony watching the cranes, ducks, pelicans and other birds at the lake, you can walk through the sand dunes at Issos and wonder at the extraordinary landscape, you can go swimming on the beautiful and almost empty beach of Halikounas, you can help with farm activities, you can take your children to meet the farm animals or play in the playground, you can watch the stars at night through the telescope or you can participate in one of Agathi’s workshops on cooking or making your own soap. This year (2014) there are so many natural workshops at Bioporos that we had to set up an extra page for them!

It’s the magnificent power of this piece of land that is hardly to describe. We guess it’s a combination of the power that has been here ever since and the spirit of the Vlassi family that is instantly inspiring everybody who is entering the Bioporos gate. The friendliness and heartfullness of your service is an extraordinary example for the greek mentality. Agathi, your food is undisputed the best we’ve had within our five weeks on Corfu.
