The weather
Corfu in June is magnificent, it’s not too late into the summer and it’s not too early either – it’s perfect.
We get nearly 15 hours of sunlight during this month, the sun peeks out behind the clouds with a smile nearly all day. Mrs. Lady Sunshine is at her happiest time of the month, not too fierce with her rays, and not too frosty either.
Our old chap Mr. Poseidon the sea god, is also at his happiest time of the month, his warm and peaceful embrace is rejuvenating for the mind, body and soul. His waters are not too cold, and not too warm.
Zeus the almighty – king of the gods and ruler of the Greek sky, is also at his happiest time of the month. He doesn’t bother us with much rain, thunder and lighting at this time. He sits quietly upon his throne and his skies are crystal clear.
The grace of the sun, sea and sky in June is magnificently enchanting.
Things to do
June is the perfect time to hit the beaches, relax under the sun and explore the crystal clear ocean.
Some of the best beaches in the world are in Corfu, such as Paleokastritsa, Acharavi, Glyfada, Dassia, Agios Georgios and of course Arillas where we are based. You can go and explore them either via, taxi, or by bus. The island’s Green Bus service is a great way to travel around.
Our beaches are amazing, you will be mesmerized by their godly beauty, their quiet tranquility, and refreshing waters.
You can enjoy different kinds of water sport activities, such as water skiing, scuba diving, and for the brave of heart – parasailing.
Boat trips are also one of the most pleasurable things to try out in June. Since the weather is perfect, it makes the boat trip experience much more pleasant.
On another less “watery” note – you can hop on a tour bus of Corfu town and enjoy the sights!
Corfu town, is beautiful to explore in June, the weather conditions are perfect and the town is not flooded with too many people. You can explore the town peacefully.
The Liston area, fortress, and mon repos palace – are all beautiful this time of year.
