Honigtal

Honigtal in Agios Georgios Pagon

The perfect place for an exciting yet relaxing family holiday in nature. The children are guaranteed to love it! Honigtal (which means Honey valley in German) is situated just 500 metres from the great sandy beach of San George, in a magical, peaceful place among the olive groves.

At Honigtal you don’t book accommodation, you book an adventure for the whole family!

The day starts with a big buffet breakfast with a large amount of local products such as home made jams, fresh eggs from the Honigtal chickens and fresh bread, baked in a wood oven. Dinner is also delicious, with a traditional Greek menu four times a week and special fish, pizza and Greek nights. Andreas, the manager, is a professional chef who studied in the US, so you can be sure the food is the best you can get in the area! His parents, Dimitris and Roula, take care of the farm that provides most of the food for the restaurant.

But there’s much more to the Honigtal experience. There is a 4-hour program for children where Stefania, a qualified education scientist, takes the children on adventurous walks to discover the secrets of the rivers, olive groves, plants and animals of the area. There are also chickens, goats, a donkey an other household animals next to the house for the children to play with, and there is a creative workshop where children are free to express themselves using natural materials.

There are also activities for the whole family, such as hiking along age-old paths, a special wellness hike where you learn about water, trees and medicinal plants and have a chance to discuss about our place in nature, meditation and yoga sessions or a fascinating boat trip to secret coves and beaches.

The accommodation consists of fully equipped studios and apartments. All rooms are tastefully decorated and have their own bathroom with shower and balcony. There is also a kitchen to prepare coffee, snacks and simple meals. For large families there are also two big maisonettes (100 sq.m.)
